    Good Day m'lords and ladies,

Another year is coming and going. Such blessings fill it too! Many travels and opportunities to be useful to others. I spent 7 weeks (easter til memorial day weekend) in Louisiana staying with my sister Carla and her boys (4 of them and a husband!!). Matt (age 9) had broken his femur and had to wear a fixature and then a cast. i helped with schooling him at home so Carla could go back to work and not lose her benefits. My other sister Lynn is out that way too with her 3 children (ex-husband committed suicide in 2007). Lynn is also a breast cancer survivor. Maybe you remember me mentioning that in my blogs. I was not only able to help them out with their families but we attended Festival International (a 5 day long music festival with bands from all over the world, FREE!!) it was soooo fun!

Since I've been back, I've worked quite a bit at the horse rescue (www.myspace.com/DestinationSafeHaven) and going to faire. Lots of projects at home and spending time with Kristin (daughter 20) and Jim (husband of 22 yrs Aug 29). gosh!

i spend a lot of time on facebook keeping up with my family that lives all over the place. i am truly and richly blessed with great family and friends. i took a long weekend and stayed with friends up in wisconsin and have enjoyed lots of free music nearby. hubby jim's band XYLEM has been playing quite a bit and i try to support them when i can.

well, that's all i can think of now, so, be blessed ya'll. i'll try to do better at visiting this site more often.

    peace

    Friends, old & new

Thursday, June 11, 2009, 04:31 PM CST [General]

What a great time was had with friends: eating, drinking, being merry. We visited the Pirate Festival in Port Washington WI. It was chilly but our hearts were warm because we were with one another. Absence makes the heart grow fonder! So true, how I missed them all!

Special time with Ingried taking care of another friends two horses, Candy & Sweet Pea. We didn't even mind the rain.

Here are two new friends given to my care.

Lady (mare) and Lola (goat). They are inseparable. Even when I rode Lady, Lola followed along. It is something unique and special that I am full of gratitude to be part of. That's so me, riding a horse with a goat following along. :)  It gives me joy.

    i've been adventuring!!

    i've been adventuring!!

my latest trip was 6 weeks in lafayette louisiana. i began that trip with a crawfish boil (yum) and International Festival (awesome music festival).  i was there to give my sister carla a hand. her number 3 son (age 9) broke his leg and had a fixator (nasty thing) sticking out of his leg. he had to use a wheelchair and be homeschooled. that's where i came in. carla was able to go back to work and keep her benefits in place. i took matt to physical therapy and  he has improved greatly. midway through my visit he had the fixator removed and he wears a brace type cast and uses crutches. he is an awesome kid and i'm glad to have had the privilege of helping him out in his time of need. we had nice lunchs of macdonalds after therapy and we also got to go camping and fishing. matt and i hung out in the camper. i'll be posting some great pics of the trip when i can.

    peace to all!

drop a line and say hello if you like :)

i've also been back at the horse rescue since i returned home. i'll have pics of that posted soon too. check out our site to see our 40+ animal rescue & sanctuary at

a new year, a new beginning

Sunday, January 11, 2009, 04:50 AM CST [General]

    hello people :)

happy new year and i pray we all continue to 'wake up' and live.

many are realizing that life isn't what we thought it was about.

i've been able to read books, watch movies, talk to people (none of which are coincidence) and it is leading me along a path that seems to grow brighter and brighter. the current issues of the world are just that. the current issues. there has always been issues in the world it's just a matter of what point are we on the timeline. i believe we near the end of this life and will be entering a new way very soon. God has let us know about this in His Word but people have a tendency to not want to be told about anything that would make them have to take responsibility and do something to alter their course. i'm not waiting for someone else to direct me. i am learning to listen to God on the inside of me, in my spirit.

i pray you all have your own awakening and pray it leads to on a path that grows brighter and brighter. i know i am loved by the creator of the universe and want to be filled to overflowing with that love and bring it to those around me who don't yet know they are loved too.

    you are loved.

i pray every good thing comes to you and you choose to hold on to it. i have realized i have had many good things but didn't realize it. like the ruby slippers. it was always there, she just needed to wake up it.

well, many blessings to you all. and peace.
